Barica Urh, psychologist, a certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), completed certified and post-certified program in Reality Therapy (RT) and Cognitive – behavioral therapy.

Graduated Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb in 1986 when she started her working career in the medical care system, Medical centre in Županja. In 1991, she moved to Požega and started working at the Medical centre - Department of Occupational Medicine.

In 1999, she started her private practice: Agency for Psychological Services "MOSAIC".

Apart from her regular work in psychodiagnostics, psychological estimation and counselling, she facilitated a series of workshops in “Alternatives to Violence Project”, “Successful Parenting School”, “Communication skills training”, “Holistic life and health” etc.

In the period of 2000 - 2005, she was a member of the County Centre for Psychosocial Help for War Victims in Croatia, where she was doing group and individual therapy and counselling to PTSD victims and their wives.

She is one of the founders and current secretary of the Association of Psychologists in PS County, which was founded in 2002. She is actively involved in the Croatian psychological Association, as a member of the Supervisory Board and Steering Committee.

She is also actively involved in the Croatian Chamber of Psychology as President of the Professional Class of psychologists in occupational medicine, where she actively contributes to enhance the quality of psychological work in this field.

She graduated Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. Additional education includes RWCT – Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking, CBT – Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy. CAP - Child Assault Prevention Project, UNICEF Project – Stop Violence among Children, ECDL start program, Master Practitioner of NLP, Mediation in School.

Since 1997, she has been a professor of Psychology and Medical psychology in Grammar school in Pakrac and occasionally provided counselling. From 1998 – 2001, she worked at the Centre for Social Work in the family protection and juvenile delinquency field. For one year she acted as external coordinator in a Foster Home in Lipik.

From 2001, she has been working as a psychologist in Primary school Brothers Radić in Pakrac. She has created and facilitated several preventive programs.

She is the County facilitator for CAP program, and for two years (2005 – 2007) she acted as a facilitator of the UNICEF program "Stop violence among children“ and a mentor in several primary schools in Požega and Daruvar.

In 2005, she created the program “Smile by smile - happiness” and facilitated workshops for pre-school and school children.

In 2007, she applied with the Project “Smile by smile – happiness” in cooperation with NGO “Harmony”, sponsored by the World Bank with the purpose to implement this project in the primary school Radić Brothers in Pakrac.

Sonja Jarebica, social pedagogue, Zagreb

Born on October 23, 1959 in Zagreb. Graduated on Faculty of Special Education in Zagreb, gained the title social pedagogue.

Out of 25 years of working experience, she worked 14 years in Correctional Institution Turopolje ; 10 years with educational groups as a senior consultant in the treatment in the Department for Intense Educational Work and 4 years in the Department for Observation and Programming Educational Treatment.

She has been continuously working with individuals and groups with drug abuse problems emphasizing the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of treatment for inmates with the measure for obligatory drug rehabilitation and those who manifested drug and alcohol addiction problems.

In 2003 she completed third level of Alternatives to Violence Project - AVP, training for trainers with American presenters: Stephen Angell, Joe DiGarbo and John Shuford which was organized by the Educational Center for Prison Stuff in Lipovica and she continued to implement AVP workshops in Correctional Institution Turopolje.

She completed the basic program of "Drama education" (American lecturers), organized by the Educational Center for Prison Stuff in Lipovica to deal with bullies and perpetrators of serious crimes. Several years she has been involved with the amateur drama group in Correctional Institution Turopolje.

She has special interest in photography and has led the photo section, where she taught several generations of young people how to make b / w photos, to photograph, to make photographs and photograms, and to design and prepare photo exhibition.

She actively participated in the Project "Big Brother-Big Sister" in which students of Faculty for Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences offered help and support to inmates of Correctional Institution Turopolje.

She has been retired since January 01, 2009. She is the President of NGO "YOU ARE OK," the author and facilitator of all projects.

In November 2009 on the 17th Psychologists Conference in Split, she presented the Project

" Process of Change – how to learn nonviolence” implemented in Penitentiary for women in Požega.

 

In 2010 on 3rs Conference of Social Pedagogues in Zagreb and the 3rd Symposium on Violence in Osijek, she presented projects " Process of Change – how to learn nonviolence” and "Prevention of Peer Violence - Stop”.

She has participated in a series of lectures on the substance abuse and other youth problems. She has been active in conducting workshops with alcoholics (KLA – clubs for treated alcoholics) participated in the implementation of socio drama in the treatment of alcoholics in the Department of Psychiatry of the hospital “Sestre Milosrdnice” which was led by doc.dr.sc.Darka Breitenfeld.

She has completed the workshop "Competence in relationships -new challenges for professionals” organized by the Familylab and family therapist Jesper Juul, 2010.

In 2011 she has completed workshops "Using associative cards techniques in counseling and psychotherapy," organized by Counseling Centre “Light” , led by dr. Irena Bezic, clinical psychologist and mr.sc. Tanja Radin, psychologist and psychotherapist.

She is a member of the Croatian Association of Social Pedagogues and active in Penology Section.

From 2004 to 2012 she was a commissioner for the implementation of protective supervision and execution of community service in the Ministry of Justice (alternative sanctions).

For several years she has been working as a associate in the Ministry of Health and Welfare as a facilitator in monitoring the implementation of parental care.

She is a member of the working group of the Council for the Crime Prevention in Velika Gorica.

On December 30, 2011. NGOn "You're OK" took part in a HRT charity show “With US You Are Not Alone” and she presented NGO’s work.
